About Scheme

The Government of Andhra Pradesh have decided to implementing the Post Metric Scholarships scheme, to all eligible students belonging to the SC, ST, BC, EBC (other than Kapu), Kapu, Minority, Differently Abled categories, on a saturation basis.
The disbursal of scholarship is categorised into two schemes;
(a) Jagananna Vidya Deevena (RTF): to provide full fee reimbursement to every eligible student, i.e. Full Fee (Tuition Fee, Special Fees, Other Fees & Exam Fees) as defined in the G.O.Ms.No.66, SW(Edn) Dept., dated 8-9-2010 and as fixed by the competent authorities is reimbursed to all eligible students. ii. Full fee shall be credited to the respective College accounts on behalf of students.
(b) Jagananna Vasathi Deevena (MTF) : to provide Rs.10,000/- per person to ITI students, Rs.15,000/- per person to Polytechnic students, Rs.20,000/- per person for other Degree and above courses per year to every eligible student for food and hostel expenses. Jagananna Vasathi Deevena shall be credited into the respective account of the mother of the eligible student. In case of the demise or absence of the mother, the amount shall be credited to the account of the natural guardian of the student.

Who are Eligible

(a) Eligible Students:
The students under the following categories are eligible for availing the Schemes.
i. All the students, pursuing Polytechnic, ITI and Degree & above level courses in Government/Aided/Private colleges, affiliated to State Universities / Boards.
ii. Day scholar students, students in College Attached Hostels (CAH) and Department Attached Hostels (DAH).
iii. 75% of the aggregate attendance is mandatory for release of scholarships.
(b) In - eligible Students:
The students under the following categories are not eligible for availing the Schemes.
i. Studying in Private Universities / Deemed Universities.
ii. Pursuing Correspondence / Distance education courses.
iii. Admitted under Management / Spot Quota.
(c) Income Eligibility:
i. The total family annual income to be less than or equal to Rs.2.50 lakhs.
ii. The total land holding of the family to be less than 10.00 acres of wet or 25.00 acres of dry or 25.00 acres both wet and dry land together.
iii. No member of the family should be a government employee/ pensioner (all sanitary workers irrespective of their salary/ recruitment, are eligible. The Social Welfare Department shall develop a robust & fool-proof system of certification of parents of the beneficiaries under category of "Sanitary workers").
iv. No member of the family should own a four-wheeler (Taxies/Tractors/Autos are exempted).
v. A family who owns no property or less than 1500 Sft of built up area (Residential or Commercial) in urban areas is eligible.
vi. No member of the family should be an income tax payee.

How to Apply

The following steps may be followed while applying for the PMS Scheme:

(a) Fresh Applications:

  • Step 1: Download Jnanabhumi Scholarship Application Form (J-SAF) here:JSAF may also be collected from the college.
  • Step 2: Fill-in the JSAF form and submit the signed copy of the same to the College Principal
  • Step 3: College Principal verifies the details filled in the JSAF and submits the same online through Jnanabhumi, at the time of admission. Upon successful completion of the same, the student receives an SMS confirming the successful submission of his application.
  • Step 4: Student visits a Mee Seva Centre, provides his Jnanabhumi application id and Aadhaar number to gain access to his application form online. Student verifies the details, makes modifications if necessary and submits the application by giving his/her biometric authentication.

(b) Renewal Applications:

  • Step 1: By way of registering a renewal application, the College Principal keys-in the student's admission date of the current year and Hall Ticket/Roll Number of the preceding year's examination.Upon successful completion of the same, the student receives an SMS confirming the successful submission of his/her renewal application.
  • Step 2: Student views his/her application details and gives his/her biometric authentication at the college

Government sanction new scheme Jagananna Civil Services Prothsahakam to provide financial assistance as cash incentive to the aspirants of socially, educationally and economically weaker/backward sections of Andhra Pradesh, who qualified in the Preliminary and Mains Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC for an amount of Rs.1 lakh and Rs.50,000 respectively in order to increase the representation of A.P in the Civil Services.

Who are Eligible

1. Applicant must be a permanent resident/ native of Andhra Pradesh belonging to Socially, educationally and economically weaker/backward sections.

2. Candidate must have qualified for the UPSC Civil Services preliminary or Mains examination.

3. Submission of proof of qualifying UPSC Civil Services pre -examination or mains examination is mandatory to avail the benefits of the scheme.

4. The cash incentive under the scheme can be availed by a candidate, irrespective of the number of attempts, for clearing the Preliminary examination and for clearing Mains examination.

5. The annual family income of the applicant shall not exceed Rs.8 lakhs per annum. The applicant shall declare the following:

    a. Self declaration of family income.

    b. Salary certificates of the employee in the household.

    c. Latest Tax Assessment (if applicable).

6. The data shall be verified by the Tahsildar before certifying the annual income of the family duly satisfying the following conditions:

    a. The total land holding of the family to be less than 10 acres of wet or 25 acres of dry or 25 acres of wet and dry land together.

    b. A family which owns no property or less than 1500 sft of built up ara (residential or commercial) in urban areas is eligible.

    c. No member of the family should be a regular government employee/ pensioner (all sanitary workers irrespective of their salary/recruitment, are eligible).

    d. No member of the family should own a four-wheeler (Taxies/Tractors/Autos are exempted).

7. Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority should be submitted by the applicants. In case of caste, the details regarding the caste of the applicant shall be submitted at the time of online application.

How to Apply

The following documents required for filing of applications.

1. Eligible candidates shall apply online through the website of the Department of Social Welfare along with all requisite documents. Applications received after the prescribed date and time will be considered invalid. No application will be accepted by any other means and such applications will be rejected. The list of documents to be submitted are as follows.

   a. Self attested copy of photo.

   b. Signature-scanned copy.

   c. Admit card of the UPSC examination/ Roll number slip.

   d. Self decalration of family income.

   e. Domicile certificate.

   f. Photo copy of Aadhaar Card.

2. Aadhar has to be linked to candidate's bank account as per NPCI portal.

3. All the information submitted online by applicants should be entered correctly. The responsibility of any kind of error in online application will be of the applicant.

4. If the benefit of the scheme has been obtained by the candidate by giving false information, legal action will be taken against the candidate.

Government with a view to support parents of SC /ST/ Disabled children for education of their wards studying in classes V and X so that the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition fromthe elementary to the secondary stage is minimized, and to improve participation of SC /ST/Disabled children in classes V and X of the Pre-Matric stage, so that they perform better and have abetter chance of progressing to the post-matric stage of education. Government has introduced this scheme for providing financial assistance to all SC /ST/Disabled students pursuing studies in schools run by the Government, local bodies suchas Mandal, Zilla Parishad and Municipalities or schools aided by the Government.

Who are Eligible
  • Students of SC/ST/BC/Disabled communities with an income ceiling of Rs.2.00 lakhs per annum.
  • For 5th to 10th Class students belongs to community SC/ST/Disabled are eligible
  • Students belongs to BC community are only eligible for applying 9th and 10th.

How to Apply

It is informed that the following people are eligible to apply for Pre-matric scholarship application scheme :

a) SC/ST/Disabled : 5th to 10th

b) BC : 9th and 10th

The following steps have to be followed while applying Pre-matric Scholarship Scheme:

a) Fresh Application :

Step 1: Online application is made available in JnanaBhumi website. Students or Principals of the school has t apply online through the link provided on the website.

Step 2 : Provide all the details required in the application form.

Step 3: After submitting the details, Concerned Hostel Welfare Officer (HWO) will go through the application and confirms the details.

Step 4: After confirmation from the HWO, District welfare Officer sanctions the scholarship.

a) Renewal Application :

Step 1: Student or principal of the school has to click on the renewal registration form and enter his Aadhar Number and previous year Application number.

Step 2 : Details of the student will be displayed . Student can change the details required (if any) and submit the application for renewal.

Step 3: Concerned HWO confirms the renewal application of the student and forward to District Welfare Officer.

Step 4: District Welfare Officer confirms the details of the student and sanctions the scholarship.

Note : Student who have completed his/her Tenth Class in his first attempt from Government schools only are eligible for the scheme.

About 30,000 applications are received annually under the scheme. The Best Available Private English medium schools at the district and sub district Schools Scheme was operated manually until the last admission season, when it was brought into the automated fold of Jnanabhumi, covering the key processes of submission of application, allotment of exam centers and nominal rolls, generation of hall tickets, announcement of results, allotment of schools, admissions, academics, inspections of welfare officers, health and bills.

This scheme provides financial assistance to SC & ST children to cover the tuition fees of the best available schools at the district and sub district levels.

How To Apply

Step 1: Student has to apply through the online application form is available on the "Best Available Schools" tab .

Step 2: Parents Aadhaar number and mobile number has to be entered while regsiteration.

Step 3: OTP will be sent to the number mentioned number which will re-direct you to the online application form.

This scheme covers about 65,000 applications annually, on an average. The scheme, when operated without automation, had several issues like cumbersome paper submission, delays in announcement of results, lack of transparency in selection process etc. Now automated under Jnanabhumi, the key processes of submission of application, allotment of exam centers and nominal rolls, online examination, generation of hall tickets and announcement of results are all, online, improving the efficiency and transparency of the system.

Student attendance, academics, periodical inspections of coaching institutions by the welfare officers and other monitoring mechanism and releasing stipend / institutional fee to the students / coaching institutions will be taken care by Jnanabhumi system.

Who are Eligible

This scheme provides financial assistance to the SC, ST, BC, EBC (other than Kapu), Minority, Brahmin and Kapu students to meet the coaching fee and expenses for All India Civil Services and State Group Services.

How to Apply

Step 1: Apply online through the link provided on YSR Vidyonnathi tab.

Step 2: Fill in all the mandatory details which is required to check the eligibility of the applicant.

Step 3: Applicant should appear for an online exam which will be held by the department

Step 4: Selected students will be informed through SMS.

Step 5: The eligible student will be provided a link in which they have to enter UID, Date of Birth and mobile number and proceed forward to submit their preferences for the institutes.

Government of Andhra Pradesh is implementing Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme for providing financial assistance to eligible students belonging to SC/ST/BC/Minority/ EBC including Kapu students to pursue PG/Ph.D/MBBS courses in the academic year 2023-24, in any of the 21 broad category of subjects in top 50 Institutions/ Universities as per latest QS and Time Higher Education world rankings 2023.

Who are Eligible

1. Candidates should be native of A.P.

2. Maximum age should not exceed 35 years as on date of publication of notification.

3. Family income shall not exceed Rs.8.00 lakhs per annum.

4. Only one candidate per family eligible.

5. The candidate who availed financial assistance under similar schemes from State or Govt of India is not eligible under the scheme.

Qualifications:

a. For Post Graduate courses: 60% marks or equivalent grade in foundation Degree in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences /Agriculture Sciences / Medicine & Nursing /Social Sciences/Humanities.

b. For Ph.D. course: 60% marks or equivalent grade in P.G course in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences / Medicine / Social Sciences/ Humanities.

c. For MBBS courses: 60% marks in Intermediate or equivalent course.

The admissions to the Social Welfare hostels and the diet administration now happens through Jnanabhumi. The automation of these functions through Jnanabhumi, impacting 3.00 Lakh children spread across around 300 hostels, was preceded by a comprehensive revamping of the policy framework and the associated process re-engineering. While automation of the admission process has simplified the application process, the automation of diet administration helps monitor the compliance with policy stipulations, of the hostels in delivering the food items to the hostel boarders.

A similar exercise was undertaken to bring about reforms in the Social Welfare and other Welfare Residential Schools. The automation of the screening test, allotment of schools, admission and diet administration processes through Jnanabhumi, aligned with the renewed policy framework, has positively benefitted 3.00 Lakh children, spread across around 400 residential institutions of all welfare departments.
